Koutouloufari is an old picturesque Cretan village on the lower slopes of Crete's mountain range overlooking the blue Gulf of Malia and the fishing port of Chersonissos. In the narrow streets you will find delightful taverns and a large variety of small boutiques.

LOCATION
The Romantica Apartments with excellent sea view are located 200 meters from the centre of the traditional village Koutouloufari and 800 meters from the big sandy beach where the STAR WATER PARK  is. 700 meters in the same direction is the National Road, from where public bus services are available hourly during daytime to Heraklion (25 kms), Mallia (10 kms) and st. Nikolaos (40 kms).
Heraklion airport is 20 kms away. Due to the winding road character, transfer duration for going to the airport must not be underestimated.

 
Your apartment facilities
The complex has a reception hall and TV lounge, a bar, and a parking area. The apartments have balconies with wonderful view to the sea and to all the surrounding area.
Part of the outer facilities are a freshwater swimming-pool and a hydro massage (Jacuzzi) pool. Sun beds and umbrellas are available without charge.
Furnishing
The 10 studios for 2 or 3 persons and 7 apartments for  4 persons are tastefully furnished and completely equipped. Each has a separate bathroom, kitchenette with refrigerator and safe deposit.
The balconies are spacious and all have excellent sea views, some of apts have second balcony in mountains view. Apart from the sea view one can still enjoy the Hersonissos port and the forest of olive trees that separate the port of Hersonissos from Koutouloufari village.

CATERING

Whoever does not like to cater for himself will find a wide range offer of local and international dishes in the surrounding restaurants.
The taverns in the traditional villages of Koutouloufari, Piskopiano and Chersonissos are famous for their specialities. You can willingly  ask us for any help in case that you do not know the place very well from former stays.

Moreover, numerous taverns and crowded bars in the centre of Chersonissos port (1 km away) and it's surroundings, provide dishes and drinks for any taste in a rich variety.

 

Sport and Excursions

Along the big sandy beach (900 meters away) is situated the STAR WATER PARK that offers almost every kind of water sports such as waterskiing, jet skis, paragliding, sailing, pedaloes, bungee jumping, fishing, Diving Centre and boat trips, and everything that one can imagine.

Hikes and excursions to all over Crete and other special islands like SANTORINI and Dia are available, as well as to nearer surroundings, such as Lasithi wind mills, Spinalonga island (leper colony in 1903), Minoan Palace in Knossos and the Archaeological Museum in Iraklion city.
